Confirmation is for students in 8th grade and beyond. It is a year-long process of exploration led by Rev. Don Steele and Kyle Anderson. Each Confirmand is asked to select a mentor with whom they are comfortable partnering with for this process. Mentors are sometimes a former church school teacher, an adult in the church they know well, a grandparent or even an older youth. Together they explore the larger questions of faith, with the understanding that this is not the whole journey, but the beginning of a lifelong journey. The Confirmation Class meets one Wednesday evening a month for one hour where an assignment is given for the Confirmand and the mentor to accomplish together. The group also enjoys a weekend retreat in New York City visiting the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Contact Kyle Anderson or Rev. Steele for more information.
